  2. Join Odeon's loyalty scheme. You earns points on purchases, which can be used for tickets or snacks. Maximise those points during promotional periods.
  3. Keep an eye on Odeon's social media. Sometimes, exclusive promo codes or flash deals pop up, ideal for snagging a bargain on your next film outing.

Buyer's guide

When it comes to cinema experiences, Odeon stands out as a first-choice option for many film lovers across the UK. However, before leaping to book your next film, it's worth getting acquainted with a few tips to make your cinema-going experience both enjoyable and a bit lighter on the wallet. One of the smartest moves is signing up for the Odeon Première Club. While there's an upfront cost, the rewards and points you earn on tickets and concessions can save you a fair bit over time, especially if you're a regular movie-goer. It's also a good idea to keep your eyes peeled for "Off Peak" tickets which can shave a noticeable amount off the standard price, typically for midweek or morning showings.

Moreover, don't miss out on the chance to bag discounts through voucher sites and seasonal promotions offered directly from Odeon's website. While these deals do come and go, having a keen eye or even setting up alerts for Odeon on your favourite savings sites could lead to surprisingly big savings. Be mindful though, sometimes certain blockbuster films aren’t included in these promotions. The Odeon newsletter is another neat trick for staying ahead of the game; it's chock-full of the latest news and exclusive offers that could make your next visit both exciting and more cost-effective. Remember, combining these offers smartly can often lead to the best value.

Odeon sales

  • Limitless Membership Offer: A real bang for your buck, Odeon's Limitless membership lets cinema-goers watch as many films as they fancy for a monthly fee. Keep your peepers peeled though; they sometimes knock the price down, making it an absolute steal!
  • Odeon Scream Unseen and Screen Unseen: Fancy a surprise? With these offers, you catch premieres at a fraction of the usual price. You won't know what you're watching until the curtain lifts, but the suspense is half the fun!
  • Meerkat Movies: Pairing up with Compare the Market, Odeon offers 2-for-1 tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It's a no-brainer deal if you're insured through Compare the Market. Perfect for date night without breaking the bank.
  • Black Friday Deals: Even cinemas can't resist the Black Friday craze! Odeon occasionally rolls out tempting discounts on memberships, bulk ticket purchases, or their delectable food and drink combos during the event - an ideal time to nab some bargains.
  • Family & Student Discounts: Not strictly annual, but families and students should keep their eyes on the prize since Odeon frequently offers special rates. From slashed ticket prices to concession stand deals, saving a few quid here and there is simple.

Remember, the cinema experience doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg. By keeping tabs on these deals and promotions, you can enjoy all the popcorn-munching, edge-of-your-seat action without the usual hefty price tag. It’s all about timing and a bit of savvy shopping!

Delivery & Returns

At Odeon, enjoying the latest blockbusters from the comfort of your local cinema has never been easier. When booking tickets online, rest assured that you receive them instantly via email, cutting down on wait times and ensuring a smooth entry. Unfortunately, due to the nature of their service, delivery options such as postal or courier don't apply. As for returns, Odeon takes a flexible approach, allowing cancellations up to the start of the scheduled performance. However, it's vital to note that booking fees are typically non-refundable. To avoid any unexpected costs, make sure to review their terms before finalising your purchase.

  4. When you hit "Book Now", don't rush - spot the magical box asking for your discount code.

Odeon is one of the most popular picks for my children and myself for family night. They have some great online offers and you are able to watch trailers of available films and films which are due out soon. We often book tickets online which is easy to do and makes entry into the cinema a lot quicker. They also do some great competitions monthly which my children love. The food is expensive but sometimes they have some great offers so worth a look.

Alternatives to Odeon

  • Cineworld - With screenings across the UK, Cineworld often has similar film offerings to Odeon and might feature special deals for My Cineworld members, making it an attractive option for movie goers looking to save some cash on their next cinema experience.
  • Vue Cinema - Vue Cinemas is another great alternative, with frequent promotions and discounts on latest releases. Whether you’re planning a family outing or a night out with friends, Vue's Super Mondays offer discounts on tickets, making movie nights more affordable.
  • Showcase cinemas - Showcase offers its own Insider membership, granting cheaper tickets on Sundays after 7pm and all day Monday and Tuesday. For those who mull over spending that bit extra on popcorn, this could be a handy way to make outings a tad cheaper.
  • Empire Cinema - Empire Cinemas might fly a bit under the radar compared to the larger chains but they offer fantastic deals, including their Saverday Tuesday with discounted tickets. It’s a goldmine for those who love mid-week movie escapades without the weekend price tag.

In the quest to save on entertainment, the habit of comparing ticket prices and special offers among these alternatives could lead you to discover not just savings, but possibly a better viewing experience or a cosier cinema atmosphere better suited to your movie-watching preferences. After all, nothing beats the excitement of snagging a great deal for that film you’ve been dying to see, except perhaps the smell of freshly popped cinema popcorn.
