2 OAPs Trying to Destroy Glass Protecting Magna Carta.

I just read this story but what I was more interested is that after they tried smashing the glass they glued themselves to the display. Please can someone tell what glue they are using as I can never find any strong enough to fix something I have broken!
This is proper vandalism and uncalled for. I couldn't believe the ages of the people involved. It's about time the courts and the police come down heavy on these feckless types.
jam45 Problem these days the prisons are getting full up so more people are getting fines or community service and not a jail sentence.
Disgraceful behaviour, a small number of older people just feel that being old is an excuse for rude / bad behavior and in this case attempting to damage an historic artifact.
Mango4 This reminds me of the character Emily Bishop from Coronation Street. Thought she could get away with breaking the law because she was an oap.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour and I don't care how old they are, put them in prison.
HEDGEHOGS It is awful behaviour but seems people get to a certain age and believe they can do what like and get away with it. Hopefully they will made a sample out of it.
telmel It will also probably mean that we all have to suffer higher security levels when we want to go and see things, and potentially get bodily searched etc..
You cannot stop events by smashing things up or throwing paint at em.It's ridiculous.
It’s all getting out of hand. You can’t change history, history made us what we are today. We learn from history and try not to repeat the bad things that happened in past as we evolve as people although there’s things going on at the moment that makes me question that. People like these OAPs should be stopped.
Our local council offices have had paint put on them twice now and who’s paying for the removal- us! What it is achieving absolutely nothing the first time the word they wrote wasn’t even factually correct about the past - it’s a costly farce
Why oh why would two intelligent women do such a thing? It’s certainly not activism but vandalism.
What was their justification for doing this, was it a statement about something or did they just want to destroy something of value
I saw that. Now I agree we need to use less resources. 100 per cent. I know there's climate change deniers. I know there's climate change nutters. But omg this is too far and disgraceful.
