currently 54kph here in Plymouth but was quite a bit higher earlier. Think its starting to ease off a bit now.
Aenurse1 it's calmed down now, its caused quite a bit of damage, few trees down , people's fences ruined ect...
After last night’s storm we have a glorious sunny day here. My husband went running earlier and expected to see fallen trees but none, just a few boughs.
It’s nice and calm here now but it was wild last night. My neighbour decided to go out to local shop bout half 8 last nite and watched tree uprooted and fall across the road just few feet in front of her. I asked her was she not frightened going out in the storm and then seeing that but she said she loves storms and went out to shop just to walk in it. It’s ok I’m booking her into drs later
Luckily we had strong winds but no damage to anything in our area. So sad people lost their lives. I would never travel when the weather is bad.
Been that windy in Essex these past few days, put the bins out this morning and now my Wheelie Bin has got to go on a speed awareness coarse next Thursday.
