Should You Be Able to Get the Morning after Pill in the Shop?
Ask a Question
Should you be able to buy emergency contraception in the shops?
Leaders in Sexual Health want the morning after pill to be more accessible to those who need it and say you should be able to pick it up off the shelf.
Definitely not. Make cheap sex all too appealing if people knew they could auto abort that easily. It's a horrendous idea.Keep yer hand on yer ha'penny my dad used to say to me when young.
The morning after pill only works in the very early stages of pregnancy though cant it ?
No matter how careful you are sometimes your body will defy your attempts at not getting pregnant
suevernon1968 the morning after pill has to be taken within 24 hours after having sex to stop pregnancy happening
Well I think it should be available to get it in any pharmacy but don't think it should be in all shops as there checks that is needed before you can take it it has to be taken within 24 hours of having sex too
I think it should be available from a trained pharmacist as the way it works at the moment it delays everything and can upset the woman even more. (I fostered for years and had to go on many training courses)
I think buying one easily from chemists is best. What if people use a condom and it splits
I think it should be available in shops, the pill not being easy accessible probably doesn’t deter people from having unprotected sex.
If people get pregnant and don’t want to keep the child they will get an abortion anyway so might as well make it as painless and least traumatic as possible
