What Actor or Actress Movies Will You Watch?
Ask a Question
What actor or actress will you watch no matter how bad the ratings for the movie are?
I would always give Liam Neeson and Matt Damon the benefit of the doubt. There are others that I would risk watching for half an hour if they rating was really poor -: Alicia Vikander, Jason Statham, Russell Crowe, Jeremy Renner and Eva Green. I've left out the obvious actors because they are usually very picky in their script choices and it would be up to me not to watch if I disliked the genre. What about you zerocenturyzero ?
Like angemski (again similar tastes!) I will watch anything with Liam Neeson in except star wars as I really do not like sci-fi. I also like Russell Crowe and if you haven't seen his directorial debut, The Water Diviner, you are missing a treat. Gladiator is one of my all time favourite films. I will also watch anything with Gerard Butler, even his less popular films lol. I loved him in P.S. I Love You but also in films like Law Abiding Citizen.
I must admit I will not watch anything with Vin Diesel or Jason Statham. As for the girls I like Emily Blunt, Lily James, Olivia Coleman et al.
I really enjoyed the Water Diviner and thought it was underrated. I'd forgotten Gerard Butler and have to agree. I think Emily Blunt an Olivia Coleman go into that zone with the likes of Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Anthony Hopkins, Benedict Cumberbatch - the only reason I wouldn't watch something they'd done would be the subject matter. (similar indeed )
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are great action stars I always enjoy watching their movies. They rarely make bad movies.
I think if he could get some decent parts the next big action hero could be Jason Momoa. But I have to say I found Aquaman laughable though I did stay with it to the end!
He was magnificent in Game of Thrones.
There are lots of actors and actresses I like such as Tom Hardy and Scarlett Johansson that I usually enjoy their performances even if it's a bad film. But, there are a few genres such as contemporary family comedies that I know I'm unlikely to enjoy. Consequently, I'm won't be in a rush to see them even if they star actors I like.
I don't really go by the actor or actresses in the film. I go by the storyline as to whether I will like the film. If the storyline seems good then I will watch it, I'm not bothered by who is in the film.
