From me : Bell bottom and platform shoes
SilverSurfer omg I seen someone wearing them the other day and all I thought was I hated them so much
SilverSurfer Those were an eyesore if ever there was one. but nice to see you kept them
Leannexxx They are back in fashion graziadaily.co.uk/fashion/shopping/adidas-poppers-comeback-sportswear/
SilverSurfer lol I never had them all my mates did but honestly I wouldn't wear them I never seen the point my mates would moan there legs are cold
My mum used to take me to town to the C&A store for my school uniform if there were no hand me downs from my sister.
Pjran my mum used to take me to C & A in Oxford Street every school holiday to get kitted out.
Grannyclock the C&A store closed years ago but I believe they’re still trading in Germany.
MrsCraig I used to love Tammy Girl then it went onto Etam as you got older. I heard in the news they relaunched Tammy Girl on ASOS, I havent check it out yet.
eyeballkerry I used too love Tammy girl and Etam. Still remember looking round the shops when we visited my auntie in the big city. I hadn't heard about that, might have to take a look for nostalgia.
Farah trousers. They looked like old men's attire, but for some reason teenagers decided these were the top fashion wear back then Never wore them myself and still don't understand the attraction today.
didbygraham My mother bought me a pair of cords when I was a kid, they were my most hated item of clothing ever, I still have issues with cords to this day
didbygraham I had some flared and pink platform shoes. Saw some platform shoes in one of the Sunday supplements recently like mine from the 70s.
MelissaLee1963 I suppose someone has to like them, I've often wondered at what age do males decide that they're wearing cords in favour of other trousers.
Tammy Girl was my fave whilst in Primary school, then New Look when i got into high school
ChelsieLou90 oh god, tammy girl....that sent me right back to every Saturday spending as long as we could in the shop! The staff ended up kicking us out as we never bought anything
PinkElephant26 my mum would take me in near my birthday and right before xmas. Also would buy me a couple of things from there on a good parents evening/school report.
ChelsieLou90 I remember writing a Christmas list and 99% was "crop top from tammy girl" or "pedal pushers from tammy girl"
Petticoats, no one seems to wear them now but back in the day it was a fashion faux pas not to, especially if your skirt or dress was even vaguely see through. Half slip or full but the half ones had a habit of riding down and showing beneath your hem, another fashion faux pas!
Used to think I was continental walking around with a kappa shell suit. Just looked like an idiot
Sports brands were popular. Most people had a Ralph Lauren polo jumper rather than the jumper bearing our school emblem. Evisu were popular too
Le coq sportif, kappa, kickers boots, pink and lemon jumpers for boys, boating shoes, either permed top or back of head, flares. So glad I’m not there now sounds horrendou..
My older brother was seriously into Designer clothing in the early 80s. He could afford them but I was still in school. He demanded that I do his washing in his flat above my Dad's office as it wasnt busy. I accidently on purpose shrunk his pure lambs wool, pale blue, Kappa jumper. Ironically it became just my size LOL
