Are Air Fryers worth the Money?

Ask a Question

Do you think Air Fryers are worth the money?

They have been everywhere the last few years, so do you use yours a lot? Or maybe you've used it but prefer the oven?

martinlufc5637 Do you think it's easier/better than cooking in the oven then?

SamGoodship yes it's alot easier and quicker, I was very sceptical about them, but it's been a good buy for us, especially when kids are hungry and want something done a lot quicker

Definitely they are. I’ve a dual 1 and it’s on most days for something. There’s loads of recipes online for so many different foods also that u can cook in them. Also lots of shops do deals on airfryers every now and again and you can get 1 then for bout £30. It saves fortune in electric using it rather than oven or cooker

Yes 100 percent. We had a single one, then bought a new Scoville double one from Asda on sale at Christmas. It is AMAZING! Saves us so much money 🙂

I made heavy use of a Philips air fryer for about 15 years and it still didn't go wrong. I just bought a new one as I wanted more features. I use my air fryer a lot but admittedly not as much as the microwave which also has grill and oven functions.

Worth every penny. We use ours everyday. There are still certain things that I cook in the oven but the majority of food is done in the airfryer.

An Air Fryer Is cheaper to run than a standard oven and It takes less time to cook anything. I cook a whole chicken In mine on rotisserie which takes 55 minutes and Its crispy too. pies etc tastes better and crisps perfectly. If you put pies In the microwave then they become stodgy. The only clean up Is a quick wipe down If using liners. An air fryer for me any day.

It costs a lot to heat air so the closer the ratio of the stuff you are cooking to the size of the oven the more efficiently it cooks as long as there is air flow. So even gas ovens can be more expensive to use than electric air fryers if your gas oven is mostly empty. I reckon my mother's old gas oven could cook about 12 small chickens simultanously (3 shelves of 4 chickens). The one she has now is probably still good for 9 chickens. My air fryer has a rotisserie function so would cook the chicken faster, more evenly and for less money.

I love my air fryer and the only time I use the oven nowadays is when I am cooking a casserole or something. Also for heating up plates.

I got one for Xmas. I've used it for potatoes at the moment mainly. I baked a cake in it last night. I'm experimenting with it. I use my slow cooker for my porridge and will do for things like my roast meat. I'm vegetarian so my air Fryer won't be used as much as others will but I'll use it
