Costs about £13 a rod.Mine is smallish so costs me about £80 a year.Worth it though.Cos I have visiting cats and they're lovely.A river flows down the back.A Godsend to have a green space in London.

My OH has one. Quite a sizeable one too. He was on a waiting list for 6 -7 years to get it. He pays a little over £100 a year to the council for it. He thinks it's worth it. He grows a variety of vegetables. It's a hobbie for him, he's a gardener by trade too. Never happier than when his hands are deep in soil. I just enjoy the produce.

I was thinking about it, but it is about three hours away and costs £135 pound a year, so I have decided to grow my own

I do not have an allotment as I’m lucky enough to have a fair sized garden. My father in law has one and absolutely loves it, he has had it for donkeys years.
