Do You Always Get a Refund?

Ask a Question

When you purchase a product and something is wrong with it, do you always take it or send it back? Are do you just accept it? Do you just throw it away?

Sometimes it's too much effort to chase things up. I bought a toaster from Amazon it was rubbish didn't toast the bread properly then blew up after about two months but Amazon get funny about returns these days so I chucked in the bin and bought a proper branded one from Currys keeping the receipt in case I have issues.

Ebay normally refunds me without fail If the Item Is faulty. I throw It away and reorder off another seller. With Amazon I send It back and then wait for my refund. No I dont just accept It because my money paid for It If Its faulty.

Funnily enough some ear buds I bought from Amazon just didn’t work properly so I contacted the seller who immediately sent a replacement. Now those are faulty and within a year so fingers crossed they replace them but not holding my breath.

I will always take the item back and request a full refund. I've never had a problem getting my money back. Image 😀

Sugarbabe I agree with you regarding Argos, Asda and Tesco from my experience.

If I have a genuine reason to have to return something because there's something wrong with it then I always will return it for a refund or exchange.

I would usually accept it, buy one again and enjoy next time.

Rarely return stuff, but when I do I have the receipt and explain it's faulty and want a replacement.

Law states if it’s not fit for purpose you are entitled to a full refund.

Do your research and buy wisely as there’s a lot of cheaply built junk in this world that catches many people out.

Good news, Amazon seller is sending me a new pair of technology improved buds rather than a refund.

Pjran The new ones arrived today. I’m impressed with the company replacing them rather than refunding me.

I 90% of the time return or complain. When you have paid for something with hard earning money why not.

I always get a refund or replacement as a matter of principal. Recently bought some crisps via Amazon, one packet wasn't sealed properly; I was going to bin it. Took a photo of it first, requested an Amazon customer service call back - they immediately offered a refund (without returning the crisps) and the call took about 2 minutes. The refund was £1.25 😃 - I'm not letting Amazon keep my money when the product they sent was defective 😐

Always return, too many poor quality products available especially online as you do not see before you buy.

Consumer law often means you will successfully get a refund or replacement. I hate the hassle so I don’t buy anything that I am unsure of. But if it’s faulty, I am getting my money back
