Ambulance Driver Taken to Court for Speeding during Emergency Response

Ask a Question

When will it all end , where the innocent get victimised for doing their job ??

An ambulance driver was on a callout to an emergency in his car that was officially being used as an ambulance

He even had the blue flashing beacon on the top to show it was a service vehicle, so that should have been enough to alert the authorities he was legally performing his job

Despite this police said records indicated the vehicle used was not set up to use legally and he was taken to court because of speeding at 90 mph

Of course the case was dropped , it should never have reached court , a complete waste of taxpayers money , yet again

Mind you the lawyers would still have benefitted , they never lose

Do you think this is fair , do you think he should even have been stopped, bearing in mind he was picking up a vulnerable patient in distress ?

That's madness. Glad he got away with it as it wouldn't have been fair on him otherwise. Madness. Surprised the police pushed for it to go further

Common sense should have prevailed here . If the driver was blue light qualified and proof was provided he was attending an emergency then that should have been an end to it. Don't understand why the police are so over zealous in such cases ,obsessed with collecting fines, one day it may be them or a member of their family that need such a response.
