How Anyone Had Their Ears Pierced at Claires and Got the Free Earrings Offer?

Ask a Question

I keep getting this offer sent to me and highly tempted. I wondered if anyone had done it and is it worth it? How much did it cost to get ears pierced in the first place?

Never had my ears pierced at Claires, got mine done at the local jewellery store. As Leanne says the deal just now means you get the piercing free and pay for the earrings. I was always told not to get cheap earrings when getting your earrings pierced. Because of how long you have to have them in for before you can take them out and the cleaning too, I was told they should be silver or gold. How true that is I don't know.

MrsCraig I believe it’s true you must have them pierced with either gold or silver. I have always gone for gold and never had any issues.

MrsCraig I remember having mine pierced. I was under 16 and the girl next door who was 18 and my brother 18 came with me. My brother only came to watch me in pain! I actually enjoyed getting them pierced and went back the following two years. After wearing the gold ones I really buying loads of really cheap ones. My ears have always been fine.

eyeballkerry I was 10 when I got mine done. I wore loads of cheap earrings as a teenager but mum wouldn't let me wear them till I was 13. I've never had a problem either.

No one should ever be getting pierced at Claire's. Ever. The piercers only have to do 3 ears before they're considered trained.

Go to your local piercing parlour where you can guarantee its being done by properly trained people and the correct equipment

I did mine about 25 years ago, which was about a tenner for the gold earrings. It was my 2nd set of piercings, as I had the first ones done at a local pharmacist when I was a kid. It was quick and easy
