Has anyone here ever flown on the concorde before it was taken out of service? Would have loved to have flown on it if only I had the funds! Sad to see it go...

Went to the last flight at Heathrow the noise was unreal! Avro Vulcan bomber uses same engine as the Concorde. £8-10k for a return ticket to New York, No First class

Unfortunately not, but passengers may be taking supersonic flights again by the end of the decade. United Airlines has ordered 15 Boom Overture jets. Although, the article suggests it will fly at Mach 1.7, which is still slower than Concorde. Ticket prices aren't likely to be cheap. Hopefully, the new plane will be less cramped than Concorde.

I haven’t flown on one but went on one that had been grounded. It was so small inside, luckily the trips were fast.

Same here I walked through one I think at Yeovilton many years ago. I'm in Yeovil so only about 7 miles away from the museum but I think have only gone there about twice in my life perhaps time for another visit. The Concorde is still there and presumably you can still walk through it. I remember a schooltrip to stonehenge where I sat on one of the stones eating a pork pie but nowadays you can't get that near to the stones so maybe its possible you can no longer walk through the concorde, I haven't checked.

Beautiful plane indeed. My dad used to work for BA and I’ve had the privilege to board a few times in the hanger. One enthusiast staff member knew so much about Concorde, wonderful listening to him. Sat in the cockpit and had the cockpit all turned on, experience won’t ever forget.

My dads cousin was a Concorde stewardess for 10 years before she retired.

Missed out on the final flight around the bay of biscay from LHR.

My all time favourite plane and nothing comes close!

Surprising how in this day and age with all the new technology how we have gone backwards with air transport, Concorde could do London to New York in approx. 3.5 hours back in the 80's, now some 40 years later quickest time is approx. 7.5 hours, more than double.
