Has Anyone Tried the DuckDuckGo Browser?
Ask a Question
I have seen this advertised on TV an was wondering if it was any good. Has anyone down loaded this browser or heard any reports about it? Just wondering if it was worth my while.
Yes isn’t it just like Google except it doesn’t track everything you do. So only DuckDuckGo knows what you are looking at without loads of ads directed at you. I forget to use it but sometimes may not provide what I’m looking for so revert to Google anyway.
I've just had a look out of interest, it's popular and looks good!

I've been using it for a while and it seems functional. I find that Google's search engine comes up with more accurate results though...
I've been using Startpage for years now and like it very much.
I know others prefer Bing for rewards and Google as it's the usual choice.
I think duckduckgo is like google only none of your history/ data etc is saved to the cloud. So it doesn't leave any traces.
nadinegregg70 Yes that’s what it says but I didn’t know how the search engine was. Thank you
nadinegregg70 Yes, the results are similar whether that's a good thing or not.
I've been using Startpage for many years now so don't feel like changing to Duck or Brave (the only two search engines I'd realistically change to).
However, if you're truly concerned about digital security you'd need to turn off all types of tracking and disable location/gps.
