Apple Cider Vinegar Health Benefits ?

Ask a Question

ACV properties, include antimicrobial and antioxidant effects. Evidence suggests it may offer health benefits, such as aiding weight loss, reducing cholesterol, lowering blood sugar levels, and improving the symptoms of diabetes.

Has anyone else used it and managed to have one or all of the above benefits?

I have tried it for weight loss but I'm still waiting!

I cannot seem to find any brand of ACV 'with mother' in any supermarket!

Any ideas?

I was told if I put it in my bitch dogs water it would stop her p*ss burning the lawn , can't say I ever tried it though ( I wouldn't want to drink vinegar either ) However the weight loss side might prove beneficial .. Image

There are many more acids that can better aid you in weight loss than ACV. Ones that actually taste good, for one.

There does seem to be benefits to it, I've seen it stated that if people are more alkaline or acidic by taking it, it helps the body adjust its ph either way. Maybe its one of those things where our modern lifestyle isn't ideal, maybe in the past we ate more acidic food i.e. maybe partially rotten or off and the modern diet doesn't have that acidity.

I take filtered clean cider vinegar I add it to salad dressings for example but hate the cider vinegar with the mother in it but do have some and use it more occasionally. However I think the main benefit is the acidity.

Maybe the body just needs cleanish acid occasionally I mean the A in DNA is for acid. It's like water there are health benefits to having clean water compared to just extracting it from food etc in your stomach. The body can use it immediately.

you can try the Braggs brand, which can be found online and in Holland and Barrett. It’s not on offer atm but it might be next month

hspexy thanks. I'll look for the Bargain price but it may well be more expensive than the Home Bargains brand!

hspexy I bought a Japanese version from Tesco today - £5 with clubcard, and another £2 off with checkoutsmart. I’m hoping it’ll be good

nina090976 I've never heard about acv capsules before. Sounds like a great idea but if it doesn't taste any better than the homemade cordial then I'll stick to thats. Thanks for sharing.

I got mine from Aldi ‘with mother’ for about £4.

Remember to use a straw, it can damage your teeth

Leesha86 my 1st and only bottle was from Aldi so I took a special trip there only to be told they haven't stocked it for months! Lidl also don't stock it. Asda didn't have the mother version! 😟....next stop is home bargains and Morrisons!

I will use a straw, thanks for the tip 👍🏼

BORDERJOE ooh good...do share your new found information about ACV.👍🏼I'd like to include it with other foods too. Taking it as a diluted drink isn't the most pleasant experience 😔
