Apps for Shopping Receipts

Ask a Question

I have recently downloaded receipt hog, shoppix and huyu for scanning my shopping receipts.

Are there any more apps, and which one do you find the best to use?

Snap my eats, as the name suggests it only likes restaurant receipts.

“Snap my eats” accept all kind of receipts that include food (restaurant, coffee shops, food stores) but not older then 7 days. Submit 15 receipts per month and you get £5 amazon voucher 😁 Great app!!

I honestly recommend it chelseaturpin. It’s super easy to use. They’ve changed few things since I’ve posted last comment and now you can only redeem your rewards once you reach £10, so everyone second month if you upload 15 receipts a month. I buy all of my shopping online at the moment so don’t use it currently too but is a must have easy app once the this whole situation stabilise 🤗

Susana go to "in store" and then "groceries". It's in there, but only for very limited things - they select a few specific eligible products each week. Sometimes they do special offers like "spend £2 on an Easter egg and get £2 back".

Susana FYI they currently have no offers with the situation we're in. I don't normally find a use for it, but very good when they have special offers on.

I also downloaded HuYu app but haven’t get any regards yet. The only down size is you have limited amount of receipts per week that you can submit but you can earn extra point for short surveys 🤗

Just claimed another £5 from HuYu, works me. I also use Snap my eats and get £5 a month. I use receipt hog, takes a while but have claimed before. Zip zero is another one I claim money every month to pay my phone bill. So many sites out there to make money from home.

eyeballkerry it's working now but I just can't see what I'm taking a picture of, I have to use automatic to get a good picture.

SalmaS You should have the option to activate the flashlight/torch and it gives you clearer pictures in every one of these apps. With huyu one thing its amazing is that they read the receipt right away and give you the 5 points right there and then.

Guys just an advice for Huyu. Keep taking the screen shot of your points from time to time and redeem as soon as you get the voucher. Me and my friend lost all our points as the app crashed and they dissapired when we logged in. It was like we never had account there. I always now redeem my voucher when I get them. I don't want to loose again what I earned.

Zipzero and Shoppix are the only ones I bother with these days. Reciept hog wasn't worth the effort but I might try a few of these suggestions.

ClaireF1978 I’ve had quite a few vouchers through Receipt hog. Seems ok as it takes most receipts for most shops.

In case anyone hasn’t noticed, Shoppix are now doing ereceipts, and are back dating to a whole year!! First one also gets you 100 points. I’ve just sat there and sent through so many from amazon. Can’t be the PayPal receipts though, which is a shame! You have to forward the email receipts to your own personal email allocated to you by them. But it’s instant!

melsuggett How's that work? I just had a quick look. Do they ask you about your purchases then? I'm just wondering why people's receipts are useful to them ie. what the business is.

Mummy18 yes! Once you’ve chosen your personal email address through the app, you just forward the email receipt to it. All instant and it lets you know if any aren’t valid. X
