Asda Christmas Saver

Ask a Question

Do you have the Asda Christmas Saver?

If yes, what will you be spending it on?

I only use Asda to top us as I'm not impressed with their meat, vegetables etc.

Got about £35 saved in mine, we will use it towards the food shop probably the week before Christmas.

Like you we haven't been impressed with their Fresh foods lately , and we also find a lot of items out of stock each time we go to Asda. Prices have also increased recently and the past twice we have been overcharged at the tills which I know can happen, but the could not care less slow inefficient way they deal with it is simply not acceptable.

Mango4 I've started to use Scan and go, then I can keep an eye on the price. Also, like you, I experience out of stock, price increases, and they don't honour prices and also don't honour the money off coupons from their own app.

I have the rewards app but not too sure why tbh as I don’t hardly ever go to Asda just because it’s quite a way out and I don’t drive so have to get 2 buses to get there 2 buses back

xKJG93 I only go to Asda because it is 6 min. Walk from my house. So when I can be bothered or don't have time to go elsewhere, Asda is my top up shop.

Barely use Asda anymore, half empty shelves and what they do have has short best before dates, we went for some Warburton's bread every loaf had a day left on it, got an uncut loaf instead, won't be doing our Christmas shop there this year

martinlufc5637 I asked this question exactly for that reason. I said to my husband, maybe just buy a couple of whiskys and then we've emptied our Christmas Saver, and can do our Christmas shop elsewhere. However, I was hoping someone could tell me what they'd buy from Asda 🤔

We use Morrisons to do the service user's & household shop for them mostly as that is where they want to shop. I have to say more often than not some of the fridges/ freezers aren't working & there are pools of water on the floor with Wet Floor signs next to the redundant fridges & freezers..

Morrisons, Ecclesfield Branch Sheffield ..

jms19 If you click on "See history" and then About, you'll see the T&Cs. Basically, you just have to use your Christmas Saver between 8th November and 31st December. Otherwise, you'll lose the money. However, I took a screen shot for you. Image

I do buy a few bits from Asda, but I agree with you - their fruit and veg, and meat products aren’t good

I have the normal saver not sure about the benefits of changing to the Christmas saver. Never have time to look it up

Imnotcheap It's too late for 2024 now but the reason why I did it is because the normal Saver expires after 6 months whereas the Christmas Saver can only be used end of year and expires 31/12. Making it easier for me to remember and not miss the deadline of using my £ collected, which has happened to me before. I didn't do the Christmas saver last year, as I didn't pay attention. I heard all Christmas savers got a bonus last year, whereas this year, in the whole month of November, they give you 50p every day you spend £5 which is put into your Christmas Saver.

QB168 I might do it next year. Normally I use them periodically then put the money in my savings account as voucher usually go for birthdays and Christmas presents

Well done you. I don’t often go tho Asda or know how their rewards work. I still downloaded the app a year back, got £2.50 in cash pot somehow then used the £2 off a few item shop. Bonus!
