Maybe they are beginning to equalise with Sainsbury's ahead of the supposed merger. I have noticed some stores that start off reasonably priced become a victim of their own success. They up the anti and start selling dearer goods, lose customers and then suffer financial loss and go into liquidation. I think Homebase is a good example of this and I have also noticed that Tesco homeware has become very expensive with posh brand name candles etc and no longer do the lower prices on their own brands.
