Autism Groups
Ask a Question
Hi this is a question really as to see if anyone knows of any autism groups that I can join with my son who is 3 this year. I would like to have conversations with anyone else who has knowledge of autism
Hi my friend has an Austic boy who just loves to come to my garden and be with nature he finds it difficult to interact with most people but we don't have to talk he just likes being with me! I love him so and he teaches me to just well myself sorry it's not information but I wanted to share this because he is wonderful
This is lovely very similar to by son, he is currently none verbal, and struggles to interact with people. He loves the outdoors too. Such a beautiful boy
ClaireRudyj yes indeed we both get pleasure from one another and don't need talking! Hope you didn't mind me post this it doesn't help but I feel sure you will have special times ahead like I am doing take care!
No it’s absolutely fine. It’s nice to hear from others who understand and have experienced the same as I do. It’s heart warming
I have asked and it’s like no body knows anything, I have literally had to find a lot things out for myself
I have searched, I have found a couple of online groups but I would like to go to a group in person or activities for Autistic children.
Have you asked at your local doctors surgery or health visitor? Also look online, just type in local autism groups near me. You could also check with social services, if there isn’t a local group they might be able to put you in touch with another mum in similar situation so you can support each other
Not sure where you live, the www.autism.org.uk/ should be able to put you in contact with your local group. My nephew was non verbal for the 1st 5 years of his life but with speech therapy and a lot of work he is now talking
