Beer Made from the Same Plant as Cocaine Launches in Bolivia
In the News
When i first read this i thought it was an interesting concept , and could taste good
But then i read further into the article and realised this could possibly have more to it than brewing coca beer
The problem is the same leaf is used to produce cocaine, the drug that is illegal all over the world and Bolivia is the main source
They already have other products made from the leaf, El Viejo Roble’s coca-flavored vodka and rum for example and have other products in the pipeline such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and baking flour
The question is are they doing this as a cover to justify the coca leaf crops , to decriminalise the leaf so they can carry on producing cocaine or do they genuinely want to use the leaf only for these new products ?
I am highly sceptical of their intentions and would be surprised if this would be allowed in the rest of the world
What do you think ?

I'll have a crate load lol.I think the problem is not so much raw coca leaves as the synthethetic chemicals that create the cocaine problem aka more the aine than the coca.
MelissaLee1 I think the authorities send planes over areas with chemicals to destroy the illegal crops periodically M, so i think they are trying to create other products to use the leaves for to justify their growth, but there is so much corruption there i think the planes often miss their targets
I would definitely drink a crate of that, I wonder if it's addictive, I guess the leaf is safe enough, not like coke that is mixed with chemicals ect..
martinlufc5637 You are probably right M, you can see the cleaning properties of coca cola when you pour it down the sink , imagine what it is doing to your stomach
LOL Party Time and Great Snooze to follow. Trust the bloomin Russians, if they're not getting so wasted on Vodka they are making shoes with the heel on the wrong end they are finding ways around growing drugs and claiming it's for a new type of beer. Give me strength.
