Bodycams used to be used mainly for the police, but now security guards and store employees wear them.
I asked a security guard if it changed people's behavior when they see and he told me it does, though shoplifters don't seem to care either way.
Plus, he said "it's for protection" but noticed he didn't have pepper spray, a taser, stun gun, gun, or a baton. Not ideal for security guards to be weaponless.
I don't like the intrusiveness of camera's every where these days, it's like big brother is watching you. I do however consider that they could have great potential for personal use to record crime against the individual. It might enable the police to get crimes to court more easily.
EmmaWright762 Yep, it went from the police and a few others to use it, to almost everyone due to crime being out of control.
With the bad behaviour towards shop staff I think body cams are a deterrent and gives the wearer some security.
Sign of the times, a lawless country, police are completely useless, the amount of evidence needed now is ridiculous, people don't feel safe
