Have You Tried Bone Broth?

Ask a Question

I remember my mum and her mum making Bone Broth many times, boiling animal bones in water to make a delicious soup or just to use as a stock

Its Called the Italian Penicillin for its' health benefits

A company called Freja has monopolised on this and is finding great success selling this under their brand name

It is highly nutritious and very healthy, besides cheap to do yourself

But i suppose to have it ready in a box is more convenient and cost effective with the price of gas and electricity now

Some supermarkets such as Waitrose sell it now and it seems to be a success

Has anyone here tried it ?

Yip doesn't sound too appealing. My daddy always made homemade vegetable soup, with either a boiling chicken, or when money was tighter he used brisket. Which then, was a bit of bone with meat inside it, so you got the flavour of both. So now when I see the beef brisket roast( which I know looks and is entirely different without bone) I can't help but think of vegetable soup. It puts me off, as I always looked forward to a roast Sunday dinner. So not fussy about brisket then, put off by it now lol. Mental pictures, stick.

It’s part of my culture to have bone broths as part of our diet, particularly in the winter. There are loads of health benefits, as well as being delish

It's full of goodness apparently but it's a generational habit I never acquired I'm afraid.I want spuds or lentils in my soup that or a knuckle of ham.
