Is the Boots Scan to Recycle Service Worth It?

Does anyone currently do this and is it worth it or prohibitive because of restrictions etc?

I downloaded it but I could never get it to work due to the location part not working. Their support couldn’t help me so gave up.
Not mad on anything that necessitates an app because I don't carry my phone around with me 24/7/365
I don't have this but my friend does and she's always taking bag(s) full to our local boots and she says it's good. I've seen her scanning the products on the app before she hands them in.

I suppose that would be good if you were already in the market for something on £10 Tuesday.
I wash the empty containers and put them into the recycle box anonymously. I don't have a smart phone and even if I did I wouldn't spend £10 either.
When this offer first started I collected items to re cycle but it wasn't available in a Boots local to me unfortunately.
Not used it. I have an online boots card but can’t seem to get throu to anyone to se how I can use it in store
I don't have space on my phone for more apps, everything needs an app. I have a folder on my partner phone for apps I don't have space for
