If you bring your own cup to Pret a Manger, Costa, Starbucks and Paul you can save up to 25p a go.
- Pret a Manger is now trailing a pilot scheme across 200 London stores where if you bring your own cup you'll save 25p per order.
- Bakery chain Paul gives 10p discount when you bring a reusable cup.
- Starbucks gives 25p discount if you bring your own cup
- Costa gives 25p discount if you bring your own cup
- Cafe Nero gives you an extra stamp on the reward card
The schemes are aimed at cutting down waste, as the cups are mostly non-recyclable and contribute 25,000 tonnes of waste.
Rumours say... if you want your coffee in-store, when staff ask "Have here or takeaway?", try responding with "Cheeky takeaway" with a giant .
I always have my tea to have at my local Costa. Not sure I can swing bringing in my own mug for a discount. They often give my fellow group of regulars freebies e.g. cake samples etc...
Hey, if you bring your own cup to Cafe Nero they give you an extra stamp. So you get your free coffee even faster.

Nero beats all of them, it is like u bought 2 drinks, your freebie is coming faster. I bought once the Starbucks one and they only gave me the discount once, after it is finished...now it is on, but who know how a long and not all of the store participate...
And how the Starbucks stamp works? Next cold brew is half price. I just love it. Need to go after 12, but it is the second time I got it...
