Butlins Introducing All Inclusive Drinks Package - Is It A Good Idea?

Ask a Question

Butlin's introduces £25 all inclusive drinks packages on a number of holidays www.mirror.co.uk/travel/uk-ireland/butlins-introduces-25-inclusive-drinks-32296860

Just seen this and think it’s a good idea , so on a family break you have paid for everything really and know where you are with your money .

What do you think ?

Well if brits get steamed in Britain instead of places like Tenerife at least those of that don't behave like stereo typical Brits can go and enjoy the places without being labelled as drunks

Aenurse1 ,but I wouldn't step over a Butlins threshold not as they are racist to people with Iriish surnames, rather take my money & spend it elsewhere!! X

janphoenix51 there is that. Great when the names have become common and the families may have Irish past links but not Irish anymore

I think it's a good idea, like you say then you know where you are with money. It's down to the individual to take responsibility for their actions and not over do it and ruin it for others

I don't believe any all inclusive alcohol drinks should exist. There will always be alcoholics who take advantage and think they're in 7th heaven, and those who want their 'moneysworth'. This can totally ruin a holiday for other family members and I speak from experience.

Many holiday groups now provide an electronic card for use on many things, maybe they could set them to allow 6 free per day and then you pay. Butlins is a family place and children do not need to be exposed to drunks who could turn nasty.

Lynibis This is a very fair and forward-thinking comment. There are some of us Brits who cannot and do not know when to stop i.e.: legless being the default aim! Not fun for everyone else.

If it’s a family holiday yoy should be drinking responsibly so it would be a good idea you would have budget for it

I have mixed views, I can understand it for a budgeting point of view, but I think it will encourage people to drink more to get their money's worth which may lead to disorderly behaviour. I have seen people with inclusive drinks packages start drinking at breakfast time 😁

Most places abroad the all inclusive is for their local drinks or watered down spirits 😂 It is a good idea.

Butlins being a family holiday location, expect that there will be systems in place to prevent folk getting drunk/ causing chaos...

I think it’s a good deal, but like others am worried about those that will overdrink and then misbehave.

I guess we will have to see how it goes

I can understand it’s the way the market is going and I think it’s nice to pay a price and everything is included. As the price of soft drinks can add especially for a family (to avoid shock bills at the end of the holiday) and in terms of food, I have a IBS and I find when abroad all inclusive works best when you can food little and often rather than set meal times

I despise hidden costs so this is a great idea.Might need to keep all the house drunks contained though lol.
