Butter vs Margarine?

Other

Which do you prefer and why? Also can you tell the difference between the two while blindfolded just by tasting?

Hilazing

Butter tastes so much nicer, but since I had my Gall bladder removed, along with a hiatus hernia in my stomach, it does not agree with me, so I am forced to make do with margarine. I could definitely tell the difference blindfolded! 😀

You can use Olive Oil instead of butter or margarine to cut down on the saturated fats, but not the taste. Use the equivalents shown to effectively substitute Olive Oil for butter or margarine in your recipes. As a rough guide, use 3 units of Olive Oil in place of 4 units of butter/margarine.

Butter, and just likr Hilazing I can taste the difference, as has been proved many times. What I obect to is cafes saying they use butter when they are using some pretend butter os 'spread', it annoys me so much! Butter is butter, marge is marge. Just say what you mean cafes....
