Do You Buy Tony's Chocolate?
Ask a Question
I'm interested knowing what people think about it.
There was a Linkedin page saying it's a scam, but sometimes they just love to trash people on there: linkedin.com/posts/terry-collingsworth-60a44231_sorry-but-tonys-chocolonely-is-a-fraud-activity-7042520710996512768-oiv0
I've bought Tony's chocolate before whilst on holiday in Amsterdam. I haden't seen it in the U.K until a couple of years ago unless I'm really blind. I do prefer getting Galaxy chocolate though.
It's really nice chocolate but the price is just a little too hefty for me even if it does go to charity.
MelissaLee1 yeah in oxfam it was like £4.50 for a 100g bar, i like the sentiment that the money is going to people that actually make the chocolate but i can get Cadbury’s for like a quid.
I have had one bar of it, when it was reduced in the supermarket. It was ok but nothing really special considering the cost
I bought it for my dad once and tried a piece. It’s nice, ok but nothing special really for the price.
Overpriced and not the best chocolate out there. I would 100% believe the claims on LinkedIn though
Seen it, looked at the price and therefore have never bought it and no intention of doing so.
BonzoBanana Their mission sounds great and something everyone agrees with: End slavery.
But somebody should do a deep research on them to see if they're being honest about it.
Nestlé says they'll end slavery... Yeah, right. Nestlé's chocolate tastes nice, though.
PhilipMarc Nestle have been a great exploiter of people in Africa forcing down the price they pay for crops etc. People having to work for a tiny wage is very close to slavery. When the wage you get is purely enough to survive on and pay for food etc then its not much different to being not allowed to leave and having food provided for you. I try not to buy Nestle products nowadays.
Not for a while. I don't think it's the best quality and it is way overpriced. I much prefer Aldi chocolate.
I've got to be honest I have never heard of Tony's chocolate, I always buy Cadburys chocolate
I have never heard of Tony's .Is it something special? I don't like hard chocolate as it hurts my teeth.I buy zero sugar dark chocolate in a flat slab which is supposed to be good for you.I try to keep sugar intake down to stave off the dreaded diabetes.
I have never tried Tony's but have seen it for sale, I prefer to stick to the brands that I like best.
Yes i get it off amazon. I tend to use it when baking as it's nicer for cooking then eating
I actually had a free trial of the caramel sea salt bar and it was very nice. It came from Waitrose who still sell it. It’s on offer at the moment but I think still overpriced.
Anytime I have tried it I have been rather disappointed with the flavour and texture and add in the price of it and really don't think it's worth it. I rarely eat chocolate normally but will give things a go
Apart from Galaxy it’s my Favourite it’s expensive but the £2.50 deal on here was so good I bought 3
