Carpet Beetles
Ask a Question
I have the joy of having carpet beetles and they are driving me insane I hoover daily everywhere and yet I'm still finding the little buggers Does anyone know any natural way of getting rid of them I don't really want to use anything chemical because of my kids
The only thing I can think of is essential oils. When my granddaughter was little I used to dilute tea tree and rosemary oils diluted in plain water 10/1. Can't remember exact quantities but try google, and I sprayed it on her hair at night and next morning head lice were brown bread on her pillow, it may work for your problem. It will be a bit damp but do it on a warm day and it should dry quickly. Hope it works.
(Essential oils are safe but again check Google for pets, but they won't be drinking it!)
Lynibis I don't have any pets so not worried about that I just want them gone I clean none stop so don't have a clue how we have got them it's damp and there is holes everywhere in this flat I've looked on Google and it's saying peppermint oil if it works brilliant I'd spary everywhere not im not sure if it would
EmmaWright762 yes, but I believe that is on the body and in this scenario you would not be ingesting them through skin or orally.
EmmaWright762 absolutely, I dabbled in aromatherapy some time ago and remember reading that they should not be used by pregnant women.
EmmaWright762 no chance of anyone being pregnant in my flat lol but thanks for the information
I had a problem with what I think were moth things. They ate the carpet away and we couldn't get rid. The new carpet that we had was already infested
Leannexxx hell no what is that , I've never heard of them, my wife would have fit if we had those
martinlufc5637 lol honestly they're tiny but very annoying and I don't have a clue how we have got them
Leannexxx they fly through open windows and lay their lava, they live on fabric fibre , I googled them lol
You need diactomious earth and to sprinkle it round all your edges and in any gaps. It's pet safe
We used to get slugs coming in an old cottage I used to live in and eventually, I found out where they were coming from the electric cupboard so I sprinkled a bit of salt and I never got the problem again
