Are Spot Washers an Effective Carpet Cleaning Option?
Ask a Question
I’m thinking of getting the spot washer as a bit cheaper and space saving rather than large machine. Has anyone got one? Are they good? Also where from and any good deals price wise? Thank you.
I recently bought Dr Beckmann spot cleaner with brush attached and it was great. I did a few spot stains and even did a larger area in front of the sofa where I sit as it looked a bit discoloured. Also where my feet are in front of my desk where I spend lots of time. Worked a treat. It is £3.50 in Sainsburys but I got it when it was on offer for £3. Plenty left.
Lynibis ...Bought one yesterday when we walked down to Morrisons £4.
I shall use it tonight when on shift & hope it shifts what we need it to!
I have the Vax Spot wash and it is very good, thou only really suitable for small spillages on carpets, for upholstery or for the seats in the car, mine
If your looking at cleaning large areas I would recommend hiring a Rug doctor machine .
I do have a vax carpet cleaner and luckily I have somewhere to store as they are larger than a vacuum cleaner. I have tried spot cleaners over the years but land up with big clean spots.
Our carpet washer is an old vax over 30 years of use. If you only want a spot one maybe consider a handheld steamer, they are smaller than spot washers. Also if it’s just small spots I use a foam washing up sponge with just a little bit o detergent.
It’s for large area of carpet but I have nowhere to store the large machines. I don’t like the idea of renting rug doctor though. Ok know spot washer is designed for small area but I could do a bit at time.
Mmm me too the stairs carpet must be filthy, and don't think my father ever washed it,but not good onstairs....
