Cashback Apps! HELP!

Vouchers

Hey guys, I would love to know some more about cashback apps and how they work! I am a little unsure!

I know you have selected retailers for some apps, but what type of cashback to you get??

- Take a photo of receipt

- Wait a few days

- Dollars!

But on all things aside, can you have more than one app? How does the functionality work? It is points you get then trade them in? Do you have to register your bank details with these apps? Is it as easy to just photograph your receipts? Are there just selected retailers for all apps? What are the best ones? I shop around at most places and supermarkets anyway but I am only 25, would I benefit in having a cashback app?

Please if you can share any info, details or just how they work would be great, I just don't want to be lost!

Thanks!

Shopmium is fantastic. You download the app, add offers you like to the shopping basket. Then add your receipt and scan barcode. The money can go to your bank or paypal.

I agree, Shopmium is great, definitely the best one at the moment. I particularly like that the offers are on for a number of days i find that CheckoutSmart are on for limited time and also the fact you have to get to £20 to cash out without a penalty is a negative. GreenJinn doesn't have freebies but you can save a bit of money and its a very low amount for cashing out.

Is it really that easy?! Do you literally pick the stuff out you like to the 'shopping basket' and scan your receipt?! Can you have like more than one cash back app or are you only registered as one? When you put it in your basket, is there a limited time to get the bits you are choosing to buy?

SandyRhodes So CheckoutSmart is another one you say but you cannot check out before £20 cashback? I am little confused by what you mean, by the 'cash out without a penalty is a negative' part xx

danniellasophia the offers all have an end date, each one is different and you have an extra 3days after the end date to ask for cashback. The offers are really good at the moment. Lots of 'freebies' where u get all of the money back for it. You just have to make sure you get the right pack size and check what supermarkets its for. Some accept any supermarket some are only at one. I online shop and it accepts them receipts too but just double check each offer. It is really quick and easy to do. Literally, add offer to basket, buy product, scan barcode, photo receipt, add paypal or bank details and money comes back in a few days. It's amazing.

danniellasophia CheckoutSmart puts offers on, you buy the item then upload your receipt. After a few hours to a cpl of days you receive the cash back that they offered ( so if an item was try for free you get 100% refund) however if you want your money back each time there is a 5% processing fee if you claim your cash back before you reach £19.99. Best way to think of it is each offer requested by uploading your receipt gets put in a virtual money box and if you can wait til £20 to open the money box you don't have to pay the 5%.

Tasha042 Shopmium pays you the money back within a couple of days and there are no penalties. Currently they have about 5 items that offer 100% refund so completely free after submitting receipt. I would recommend starting with Shopmium. Sign up, buy 1 item & submit the receipt. After a couple of days you will have the money back in your bank or paypal. It's nerve wracking when it's new but be sure to use the apps barcode scanner in store and you really can't go wrong 😊

You can have 1 account per person so you and your friends and family could have 1 each. My mum often picks up the free items and gives me them which is lovely of her. If there are free items I won't use i get them & pop them in the foodbank box at the supermarket.

There's the Chase debit card which gives 1.0% on all purchases for an entire year. Using it wisely can end up with a pretty decent leftover of cash.
