What Cashback Apps Do You Use?
Vouchers
Just wondering which ones are the best?
I have never actually used any cashback apps. I have seen people talk about them, but never signed up for them. From what I have read on posts on fb, quidco and topcashback seem to be the best two. Can't give anymore advice than that I am afraid.
It is something that I have never thought about using. I don't think I buy enough online to get the benefit from using them.
Yes thats what I thought, but now I'm shopping online every week I'm looking for ways to save money as I can't get the yellow sticker bargains online
Ahh, that is definitely a downside of online shopping. If I did more online shopping then I probably would sign up for them. I like my yellow sticker bargains.
yes I used to but my 3year olds bedtime is 7pm so I can't get any good ones now anyway, and I hate Sunday shopping, it's always so busy!
I agree! Everyone seems to go out on a Sunday! I've found that early Saturday morning is a good time to go. Not as busy as you would think and you can still get some bargains.
I use all of them All for different reasons! For groceries Shopmium, CheckoutSmrt and GreenJinn and sometimes ClickSnap(part of Quidco) For other shopping that I do online I would use Quidco and Topcashback. I have mixed feelings about Topcashback as they sometimes go wrong and you won't get cashback and the claim takes up to 6 months ( how pointless )but I also had a great saving while using their site.
If you interested in any more details I am happy to help just let me know
Sorry, some silly questions but I'm new to all this Can you get your cashback with these apps immediately or do you have to save up to a certain amount? And which ones just give you a few pennies off things and which ones give you things for free?
That's not a silly question at all!
I would say that the best is Shopmium as you get the cash back within 3 days from making a purchase and submiting a claim but there is less offers available. I usually hunt for 100% cash back offers. They usually include deals from Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, co-op, Waitrose, Ocado, Holland & Barrett and sometimes other random stores.
CheckoutSmrt has great offers and bigger variations but you can redeem your cash only once you hit £5 (but you pay 5% of your savings) or you get the whole amount once you hit £20 (I never can wait that long though ) nevertheless is still worth it!
I also hunt for 100% cash back offers and I pay the 5%.
This site gives you cash back from lots of stores: Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco, boots, co-op, Waitrose Ocado, Nisa, landis etc.
You don't need to download the apps if you don't want to, I believe you can register on their site and use it that way too.
GreenJinn is ok, you can redeem your cash once you hit £1.50. This app only give you cashback if you use Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose and doesn't have many offers but they usually on a healthy stuff like fruit and veg or some kind of washing stuff, shampoos etc. so that's something handy! 100% cash back items are rather rare!
The only advice I would give is that you must be very careful with the details of the offers because if the offer is for example for Asda.com (online shopping) and you buy at Asda store you won't get your cash back. Check for how long the offer is valid before you buy and place the claim straight away so you don't forget about it as it's easily done! The great thing about it is that you can often try items for free that you would normally buy it.
Best of luck
Thank you so much this is very helpful! I mostly shop at Asda so I'll probably give Greenjinn a miss but shopmium and checkoutsmart seem good so I will try them
Great, good luck. Do check them regurally as you can get really good deals from time to time.
I never use these! I only do for the opening offer of a free pizza/takeaway/prosecco whatever it may be and then never again
I am firmly in the Quidco camp - with well over £500 through them in the lest few years. I do have a topcashback account but dont really use it.
I also use two shopping apps - Checkout smart and Shopmium I managed over £10 between them on my Sunday shop from Sainsburys this weekend just gone. Its not always that good but I am approaching £100 through Shopmium at the moment.
Wow that's impressive! I stopped using checkout smart as I never saw offers I liked but will attempt it again now. Shopmium and quidco sound fantastic
I tried topcashback but was disappointed when the returns took a bit longer than what they said.. Im currently doing quidco.. so crossfingers it will be better...
Yes I think topcashback has a reputation for being unreliable now. Hope quidco works better for you
I use Shopmium, Checkoutsmart, Greenjinn & Boom25. I couldn't get away with topcashback or quidco, things didn't track quickly or correctly so don't bother with those . I have won once on Boom25.
£20.83 from a Superdrug transaction. It can take an age to hear back but as it costs nothing I just click through and forget about it until they email a few months later sometimes. Even if you don't win you get a 50p bonus and if you do win you win all of your bonuses too. It works on Ebay too & i love Ebay! I think the delay is they have to allow enough time to pass that items can't be returned.
You get a referral code so you can rope friends & family in too and earn cash back that way. There are many stores but I'm mainly using it for just eat & ebay. At least with Boom25 you either win or lose & don't have to keep track of anything!
