Cat Deeley to Quit This Morning if fan Criticism Gets Too Much

Other

When Cat and Ben took over presenting This Morning I did a topic saying I disliked her presenting and that it was a bad pairing. She is too gushy and excitable and even Ben seems taken aback at times.

Well it seems I wasn't the only one to feel this way as she has said she will quit if the criticism gets worse. I have never said anything nasty as I expect she is a lovely person off screen, just not right for that job.

If she can recognise there is a problem herself, why cant the itv bosses? I am fed up with the constantly changing presenters, maybe they should allow the audience to vote for which male and which female they want presenting the show.

Leannexxx tv is a funny old thing, I don't expect she is same in real life. She does seem to be 'acting' the part on This Morning.

Lynibis there is nothing honest about her that's why she would never be good at presenting

I think she tried to be Holly 2.0 version and not herself, she irritates me too much and I don't want to watch the programme she's on it.

Auntielettie you could be right there but I think she missed the boat as she is already 47.

telmel well I don't want to start any ugly rumours but I read in one of those online rags that he has an Alzheimer's worry and she looks as if she's already there!

telmel please don't take my word for it, it could be typical fake news as it was written in a way that didn't say yay or nay.

Lynibis No problem L, i saw an article about him and Judy having concerns about Alzheimer's, but just the fear of it , i think he is more concerned about his smoking habit, he once smoked 60 a day , down to 40 , which i didn't know about , maybe that is affecting his health more ?

I never watch it anymore. I liked Richard and Judy and when Philip and Fern did it, they were hilarious together. Was never a fan of Holly when she started, thought she was too young to deal with some of the subjects. Maybe it’s time to change it completely. Like the idea of viewers voting though.

eyeballkerry I only ever saw snippets of R&J and haven't a clue when Holly started. I was working full time until 2011 and then part time throughout the day. Only since last year when I retired did I start watching most days, but as of today I'm done🙄

I rarely watch This Morning as I'm at work but occasionally catch it during the school holidays. It isn't a show I have ever really enjoyed watching. I like the fashion segments and the cooking segments but that is about it. I wasn't impressed when they announced the new hosts as didn't feel they were right for the show.

nissan3 I don't think she's an LD member and I certainly haven't said anything unkind, just my opinion that she is not a good presenter, are we still allowed to have opinions or are they now subject to the woke police?

Lynibis Yes people can have a opinion but just to say they dislike someone sounds pretty nasty to me.

That is schoolground behaviour some people should grow up.

nissan3 that is absolutely ridiculous, you can't like everyone and it's part of life that you will be liked or disliked by various people throughout your life and it goes on way past the schoolyard. You have only got to listen to news, read social media etc to know this.

I resent your accusation because in my topic I just said I dislike her presenting and she is probably a lovely person.

Unfortunately social media destroys lots of people when there’s too much criticism of a star. If she’s unhappy then the best thing is to leave that job for her own sanity.

Pjran it has always been a rule of mine to never stay where I'm not wanted. If someone dislikes me I have an inate understanding of human nature and realise that this is the way of the world. I just stay around people that I know have a mutual liking.
