Do You Celebrate Your Birthday?

Ask a Question

Do you celebrate your birthday?

I love celebrating my birthday with a day off work and going out for the day with my family, but I've heard a few people lately saying they don't do anything for the day at all.

My birthday is in December and it’s just not worth the hassle of trying to get in anywhere. Everything is fully booked and crowded and expensive. I just take time off and celebrate with get togethers at home.

My birthday is same day as Queen Victoria's,24th May, I always celebrate it with a meal out with my partner & daughter.

This year it will be extra special as it's the day our Student Radiographer 25 year old daughter finishes her Degree, she has the date on her landyard!

Next year I will turn 60!

Leannexxx I embarrass my kids but my older grandkids think its great. I am disabled and sometimes cant use my crutches- my kids refuse to push me in the wheelchair cos I have a laugh and shout things like “ learner driver mind out”. The grandkids ask to take me out in the wheelchair lol.

Leannexxx i love it ! Even though I am disabled etc etc my sense of humour seems to be getting better (or worse if you ask my kids lol). There was a completely empty freezer in Iceland once - so i sort of climbed in leaving my legs sticking out. Kids have never come to Iceland with me since.

SamGoodship maybe go to one of the kids houses for a meal. It’s difficult for me to get around and I tire quickly. But it also means I get cuddles from my younger grandkids which is fabulous.

I don’t like big birthday parties. I had to celebrate my 40th with a party and after that I said never again. I don’t like the limelight so cringed when a special cake was presented and I had to do a speech.

It's my sons 24th today. We celebrated last night at ours with a few drinks & i cooked. Tonight his housemates are throwing him a small get together.

We celebrate all our birthdays in some way. I like to spoil people on their day.

Haven't celebrated my birthday for a long time. It was my 30th during the pandemic and I was delighted to have the perfect excuse for not having a party or seeing anyone. I put all my effort into my sons birthday now.
