How Many Chances before You Block Someones Phone Number?
Ask a Question
Dont like doing it but fed up with a friend from tennis who kept sending inappropriate whatsapp messages - so finally blocked him. Told him time and time to get act together. Not sure about the repercussions yet.
But seriously, how many chances do you give?
It depends really. If they are just being annoying then I would mute the number so I didn't see that I had messages from them. If it was something very inappropriate, for example racist, violent etc then they don't get many. I would tell them the first time they sent it that it was inappropriate and not to send again. 2nd time they did it I would tell them they were getting blocked as they had already been warned.
I believe that the people who have my number know me quite well, so they get No chance at all, they would know what they sent would be wrong, hurtful, inappropriate or insulting and they knew that. So No second chance at all.
The only people who have my number are very close friends and family, if chances where a thing, they'd get one chance
I got lots of ex colleagues In my block list, I mean whats the point If you`re not going to see them or work with them again. For you, just one or two chances then block them If they`re going to keep being silly.
Depends how big a deal it is, i wouldn’t block people typically, i just ignore their calls/texts and they generally get the message
HappyComperZoe Thanks. I actually gave a few chances as it began more as cheek and annoyance. But they took it as a pass to get worse. Glad I blocked them.
Three strikes and yer out.A cooling phase and an apology gets you re instated but it definitely doesn't happen again after that.
If you have told him and he keeps doing it you have every right to block him and id keep him blocked till he apologised
I get lots of sales pitches from mobile phone companies which I find irritating.I block them straightaway but they then come on a different number which I block too.
