I am shocked by the Co-Op pricing online (although I have never purchased any kind of food online). I am a member of theirs and I am happy with the members price deals. Yesterday I brought two chilled meals for £3.45 each and at the till I saved £1.00 plus £1.00 for members only, a total savings of £2.00. And not forgetting the £6 frozen food offer (£5.00 for members).

Online prices are probably ramped up due to the courier rider delivering it. I don't think Coop online is the same as normal supermarket online its more like having a takeaway delivered. My local coop is only a 7 minute walk I think. Last shop was good value but I keep getting caught out with the member savings not working on some stuff, not sure why perhaps the till has lost contact with the main coop server or something.

BonzoBanana The Co-Op prices are nearly double what Asda charges. For example, I was buying my KP Nuts x 5 in a box from Asda (and sometimes from Tesco) for £2.50 each but the Co-Op a bus ride away was charging £3.85 each for the same nuts.

jam45 Last shop I did in Coop I got a Ginster's cornish pasty for 90p (1.50 minus 40p weekly chosen offer and 20p membership offer), bag of toffee eclairs for 75p (chosen offer) and some apples which were 1.25 membership offer down from 2.00. I also go two salsa dips that were on clearance for 33p a jar and 3 jars of pip's (or something like that) peanut butter for 56p each on clearance. They weren't short life products either all have expiry dates into 2025. I saw the peanut butter on a recent Tesco visit and they were 2.50 a jar. Generally I can find some good deals in Coop when I go there but I couldn't do a main shop there of course, many prices are high but there are good offers especially short life reductions.

I find co-op really over the top for nothing special. I’m not a member as what’s the point if I’m not interested in going there, pretty small and not easy to get to / park.

I stopped shopping in the co-op when I realised they charged the most for milk.

Sometimes they do good deals, but most of the time, the groceries are cheaper elsewhere

Most expensive supermarket/store with the worst quality! Even with a membership you will still pay a lot more than other stores.

I gave up with them when The Co-op mid counties membership scheme was different to the other Co-op membership scheme. I rarely went to a Co-op it's only an occasional visit for me. I had the card that used to give you vouchers, I then went to the other type of store and they even scanned my card, didn't say anything, later to find out it was invalid as it was the 'wrong type of Co-op' so looked into the other membership and you had to pay £1 to be a member. Didn't know that they had their own loyalty schemes, haven't bothered with that one yet, not really been back to one either 😂

I know it isn't complicated but my brain made it at the time.

Co-op, mid counties and Co-op...

Or as I call them... Blue Co-op and Green Co-op 🤣
