Competition Winning Emails

Competitions

Hey!

I'm new to comping and I've been wondering if the emails that tell you if you've won a competition usually end up in your spam? I've had a few "you've won" emails in my junk folder but I'm not too sure if they are legitimate since they ask you to pay shipping for the items and this is a little alarming to me. I would have thought that the real deal would be in your normal inbox so if anybody can tell me a bit about how it's worked for them in the past then I would be very grateful.

I did find one in my spam folder and it was about 2 weeks old. When I replied apologising they were lovely and I got the prize eventually. All others have come on my normal mailbox. I have never ever been asked to pay shipping and that sounds like a foreign company. I never enter any competitions that are worldwide entry as too many entrants so I would definitely be suspicious of anyone asking for shipping.

Ah thank you for your reply, that has helped clear up my suspicions. I'll keep an eye on both inboxes and stay clear of those shipping ones. Thank you again 🙂
