How about a photo frame filled with pictures of them together from day they met till wedding day

When I got married we asked for vouchers but we just wasted them. One of the nicest presents we got was a pic frame with a family tree in.

When we got married my bridesmaid found out our first dance song and then got us a personalised present. It is a small cd in a frame with our names and our first dance song and a message from her. I absolutely love it.

How about a DIY picture you make at their wedding?

You could paint/print/draw a picture of a tree with branches, carry around a colourful ink set and some wipes and get the guests involved. They could do one fingerprint and a signature each, and when you all done you put the glass top on your frame and you got a very personalised and fun gift for them.

Personally I love the tree ones, but you could do other things to make it more personalised for the couple. Like if they like to bike you could do the bike with balloons and so on.

How about a photobook? You can always find good photobook deal online. You could take photos with your camera at the wedding - about the couple, with the couple, about the flowers, the place, with guests, about the food, the cake, the kids and parents -. I think it would be interesting for them to see an other perspective of their wedding.

Do the wine thing. Label various bottles as

Open on first month anniversary

Open after first row etc etc. There are many examples online for further inspiration

How about a charity gift, like give a cow or chickens to transform a life. I know Christian Aid do this and I’m sure lots of others do.

We received a lot of champagne glasses which in all honesty is totally wasted on us as we don’t really drink. A nice gift we did receive which was quite handy was a lovely vase and we had a nice hamper as well with chocolates and all sorts which we both enjoyed tucking into!

Ahh brilliant post I have a wedding coming up in the summer and somewhat stuck on what to buy aa they pretty much have most things. So this has really helped give some inspiration.
