The Creator of Dragon Ball Z Has Passed Away

In the News

This news feels so unreal to me as I still can't believe he died! 😢 I'm a Dragon Ball fan since childhood so this was some extremely unpleasant news to read.

RIP, Mr. Toriyama.

I've watched a lot of anime but never seen any Dragon Ball anime in my life or played the games or read any comics. Just never appealed but I've certainly known its a huge franchise. Makes me want to have a look at some now to see what I've been missing out on.

I remember in secondary school dragon ball z was so popular. I never got to watch it as we just had the basic 5 channels.

I think it’s one of the first breakthrough animes in the west

😦 He's still young! I don't really watch dragon ball but it's still a shock.

Dragon ball hasn't finished either, fans are going to be absolutely devastated.

Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball Z (Kai is a refreshed version)

Dragon Ball GT

Dragon Ball Super

All those above are complete, it's just Dragon Ball Daima and Sand Land that are yet to premiere, but they probably have a detailed outline for it.

PhilipMarc I meant the newest manga isn't finished - I read that it's been released monthly, but like you say, maybe they have an outline for it since the creator hasn't been drawing it himself (I thought he was).

Ty for the info, I actually thought there were more Dragon Ball series.

hky Oh, the manga is still going, but I only watch the anime series... Well, I skipped Super since I didn't really like it.

PhilipMarc There's lots of anime that follow the manga so I thought if the story is unfinished, then so would the anime.

A Dragon Ball theme park, which will have 'at least 30 rides' and cover 'more than half a million square metres', has been announced. Sadly, it'll be in Saudi Arabia, so I probably won't get a chance to visit.
