Budget-Friendly Dash Cam with Front and Back Camera - Any Suggestions?

Ask a Question

I’m looking to buy a dash cam- one with a front and back camera and need advice. There are idiots on the road and ive just got my new motability car - I love it so much I cried on the guy that delivered it. But i have already had one wing mirror smashed. I’m on a budget so I need value for money. There are quite a few on here. Does anyone have one that they think is fab - or can anyone recommend one for me please?

Yeah I want one fitted to my car. My oh cba to do it. But the amount of bad drivers there are. In my old car I had a crash and I know if I had a cam my insurance would have been able to blame him entirely as he jumped the lights but j had no proof

Jerseydrew lol - i know if I buy one I can barter a couple of home made cakes etc for one of my male friends to fit it lol. But I have asked them and the ones that have them all have different ones- they have to look ‘right’ in the car lol

My personal view is to stick with a branded one so try something like Halfords and they will fit it it might cost you a little more but you could spread the cost a little bit worth it. Spread the cost with PayPal or klarna or clearpay ect so good.luck

Pfs and here is the problem- i dont tend to deal with car tech stuff so i wouldn’t know what brand would be classed as branded. I’ve even seen ones that you can have set to record if they notice movement even when you aren’t in the car. But then they start reeling off all the technical data and all i can concentrate on then is the toy chimp clashing cymbals together (do you remember those old toys) and thats because the stuff I’m reading isnt making sense to me.

suevernon1968 if it's something you're desperate then I would definitely try Halfords even though I know they can be expensive, they will fit it to your car battery so it is always recording a permanent live feed. You can ring them and ask for details or try YouTube for videos to give you an idea. I have one and also RING doorbell for little protection good luck anyway. I was born 73 so I'm getting on a bit myself NEXTBASE IS GOOD QUALITY DASH CAM

Pfs thank you. Hadn’t thought about youtube. And will look at some nextbase dash cams. I have cctv cameras but they were literally put on the wall, download the app and link it to my wifi. Even the colour one that records and switches its floodlight on when movement is detected was only £45 off Amazon

Pfs totally agree. I’ve had unbranded and regretted it. I’ve never had any issue with branded NextBase or Garmin.

I have this one with the rear one connected and it's great.

If you have an SD use that, or there's a bundle with a 32GB SD.
