Debenhams in Trouble
News
Just been reading Debenhams shares have plunge 17%. Has trouble 're tailed call in KPMG
Looks like we could be lost a another shop in 2019. What a start to the new year if that happens. We all ready lost a lot of well knowing shop this year. There will be no shops left to go.to. It will be all on line.shopping
What do you make of all this these shops being in trouble and may close.🛍
The way things are going, we are going to have nothing left. And although I love Ebay and Amazon, they are one of the reasons why this is happening. xx
All our old shop that we are use to seeing. Are closing down. It's a shame. In 2 years there will not be many shop left. It will be all on line. Then people will have to use the inter net. To get what they want I feel sorry for people who can't get there heads around to how to use a tablet or lap top.
nicolajaynehend I will forever miss one of my all time favourite stores, which is Woolies. xx
Never been in a b and m store. But on 16th October we are getting. One. I heared it's good. Looking forward to having a looking around.
They charge a lot for delivery and the nearest store is far from us, so I am not going to travel to their store.
And they have these Designers, but all of the things are made in China and very expensive if it is not on sale.
I like Debenhams, but my closest one is an hour away, so I tend to order stuff from them online or will go visit if I am in town. It is a shame that so many shops are closing and online shopping definitely has a lot to do with it.
My nears Debenhams is 100 miles away. I've never shopped in Debenhams it's just to dear. But would be sad to lose it.
nicolajaynehend I only tend to buy things from Debenhams in the sales as I think it can be very expensive otherwise.
After the House of Fraser news, I suspected Debenhams may not be faring much better. Not surprised as it hasn’t kept up with the times, and their sales are not real sales - although they seem to constantly be doing the blue cross events throughout the year, the prices are still very high. Let’s hope they make some drastic changes to save themselves
I think Debenhams is just to dear. And that's way this has happened. I can see it going the same way has house of Fraser went.
nicolajaynehend perhaps it may have the same fate, although the sports direct boss couldn’t possibly bail Debenhams out as well - I’ve read he does have shares in the company, but certainly can’t have much more money to spare for another troubled department store
I never know the boss of spots direct had shares in Debenhams. No he will not help out. Because he just brought spot direct. All is money will be going in there.
That's karma! I bought my daughter a dress from them. She loved it but it was too small so took it back to swap for the size up, they made me pay an extra £5 as it was no longer on sale! Complained to head office and got a rude email back saying its their policy! I was like "but if i had have returned without a receipt i wouldnt have had to pay extra!!!" Throwing away receipts next time. Very bad customer service.
That was very sad that they made you pay a extra £5. And was very rude to you. I've never shop in Debenhams. Because it's just to dear. And it's a 100 miles away from me. I want miss it. But it will be sad if it go's.
Yes I was so annoyed, I've been shopping with them for years so I will miss their clothes but not their stupid policy They are too expensive, I only ever buy things on sale or with codes lol
I’ll be gutted if that goes too! I was really sad to hear about house of Fraser when the news first broke about their troubles. As much as I enjoy online shopping sometimes you just need to go out and properly look in the shops. Hopefully they can figure something out x
Debenhams is the biggest store we have in town. If it goes then we have really charity shops, discount shops like B&M. I think we have pound shop left. It's a ghost town.
