Help

Occasionally I get the following message.

Your competition (XXX) has been picked up by our robots as potentially containing something inappropriate. Don’t panic! This is probably just our systems being super cautious. We’ve put your post in a moderation queue and will review it by (human) hand shortly. Sorry for the delay.

I don't worry as I know it will eventually appear but my query is 'Why doesn't it appear as the latest entry rather than in the place where is was removed from.

When I access LD for comps I go back to where I left off the previous time and work my way forward through them. When comps such as those above are placed (as this one today) in their slot 6 hours ago. People could miss entering it.

Any thoughts anyone?

Hey tumblespots it's a fair point! We tend to just use the date the competition was created rather than when it goes "live" on LD but can see what you mean with people potentially missing it.

In all honesty - it isn't something I considered when building the competition section! I'll have a think if there's a way to improve it 👍

Thanks very much, you thoughts are always helpful. It made me wonder what I might have missed in the past because someone else's post was late being added!

It had crossed my mind that putting it in strict order was in connection with the 'who posts it first' rule?

Just over an hour ago I posted a Freebie and got the dreaded, Your Freebie has been picked up by our robots. This freebie is for a Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, but it's limited to the first 200 people that claim. Given that this offer is on a popular website, there is a good chance that all these products are now gone or will be by the time the post is finally cleared. For those that want to take the 'risk' you can find it here - https://sheerluxe.com/refer

ACR Tom I too have had quite a lot of these 'picked by the bots' lately, I think they are on the increase. Very sad in a case like yours that is time critical.

ACR I saw this one and nearly shared it myself - the only problem was that it also asked to increase chances of getting the freebie by sending the offer on to another email address/friend. Considering the time I got the email and how long it had been 'live' on this popular site, I'm guessing there wasn't much chance of being within the first 200 so perhaps we were saved from blatant data collection when the offer had probably been sucked dry.

tumblespots the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Freebie post was finally cleared late last night, but this morning it was removed again and I haven't receive a notification message explaining why. If all 200 free gifts had been claimed, surely it should have been marked as expired rather than just removed without explanation.

ACR All 3 of my freebies were removed this morning and I was only advised officially about 2 of them. I had a personal message with the third which was far nicer as I was able to chat to the person concerned. But, yes I agree, yours should have just been marked as expired if that was the case.
