Royal Mail Deliveries stopped by Dive-Bombing Seagulls

In the News

Well i think i have heard it all now

Usually it's the train sevices using excuses for late arrival, like leaves or snowflakes on the track, flooding etc etc

But this one by the royal mail tops all their excuses , staff being dive bombed by seagulls causing delayed deliveries !

I could understand if it was carrier pigeons , after all the post office is putting them out of a job 😁

But it is seagulls , maybe they think the posties are delivering food and getting them mixed up with deliveroo !

Another strange thing is they are not attacking the residents, only council workers and posties, maybe they are protesting about the council tax rises and the post master scandal ?

If you look closer at the image there are french fries on the drivers side of the windscreen. I think this is what they are after as seagulls do love chippies lol. I think one man even made a verry popular fb page by adding arms and legs with animation and voice overs which is extremely popular. www.facebook.com/reel/807199814444828

We was in Bridlington at the weekend, these seagulls are mental, they were attacking kids who had food in their hands

martinlufc5637 I know what they are like M, i worked for a while in Rhyll , North Wales many years ago and i used to sit on the benches outside the shops to eat a sandwich or the likes in my break , they would be constantly dive bombing me to try to get the food , i used to give up sitting there after a few minutes , especially if i had been pooped on

Seagulls are horrendous. They do dice bomb and can seriously hurt people. Their babies are fledgling their nests at the moment and can't fly so the parents are watching and attack what they think is prey.

Maybe thats why we are not getting any post at moment! There are delivering about once a week to our road. Parcels have preference over letters.

telmel I would probably get more post. I think they are blaming it on a sickness bug going round. I don’t get much post but when I do it’s usually important

You could say they are 'taking it to the bird' J

Beautiful birds and they can be noisy, but I'd rather take them making noise than unstable humans.

Is this the new Royal Mail uniform? Just seems like a lame excuse to me. They are just trying to survive and the seas have been depleted of many fish.
