Does Anyone Eat Creme Eggs?
Ask a Question
After seeing the Cadburys crème egg advert which 35k have complained about I was thinking are they still that popular?
I used to like them but a combination of overindulging and recipe change has put me off, I'm more of a caramel egg guy.
Yes ...I ate 18 in one sitting as a kid during a egg eating competition with friends i was the winner! I still love them but can only manage 1 now lol
Yes, I usually get them from Tesco. Although, I eat more Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Eggs (28g) and Reese's Peanut Butter Creme Eggs (34g).
Getsome I'm not quite sure whether using the term 'bigot' is right. I'm not homophobic (my son is gay), but I don't think that something this explicit as shown in the advert is acceptable. Where do you draw the line? Whether it's a hetro/same sex couple doesn't make a difference imo.
Maybe I'm a bigot and just don't know it.
KirstyWhit29673 Yeah smaller and more expensive. Be the size of mini eggs in a few years
Imnotcheap I’ve I managed to eat one these days I would probably find it fair to sickly too
i havent had a creme egg in ages. but i do like them and enjoy them. nice for a change too now i really fancy one
Not as often as when I was younger. The sweetness seems to have increased to the level of sickly.
blacklabrador Haha, same here
Got some Creme eggs, Caramel eggs and some Oreo ones which are now my wife's favourites.
TheChimp Ah they'd sold out of the Oreo ones when I visited on Monday.
May have to look again before the offer ends.
Absolutely! I love them and always buy them at this time of the year, even if they have tonnes of calories. Craving one right now
I love creme eggs. Trouble is, they seem to be getting smaller and smaller each year with the prices remaining constant. And boxes of 6 are now boxes of 5.
Love them! Can be a bit sickly if i overindulge though. Bought a couple of boxes in tesco on offer this week
I haven't eaten any for a while. We don't buy them in our house. I think they are too expensive, even when on offer. I prefer other types of easter confectionery
They don't seem to taste the same anymore but i will occasionally have one. But I prefer a nice bar of chocolate to be honest
I can’t remember the last time I ate one. I find them too sweet and bit sickly so decline it if I’m offered one.
Subway and Cadbury have teamed up to create a very limited-edition toasted Creme Egg sandwich. Unfortunately, they are only going to be available in 4 locations and for just one day - 7th April. There will only be 125 made in each restaurant. But, they will be free for the lucky customers that can get hold of one.
The following restaurants are the ones that will have some in stock:
- London, Subway, 109 Tottenham Court Road, W1T 5AD
- Liverpool, Subway, Unit 3, Ranelagh Street, Central Shopping Centre, L1 1QT
- Swansea, Subway, 117-129 Peniel Green Road, Llansamlet Service Station, SA7 9BA
- Glasgow, Subway, 293 Sauchiehall Street, G2 3HQ
That Subway picture looks so revolting. I'm not a fan of them as many have already stated they are too sickly sweet and I find them a little unpleasant. However as a kid I didn't seem to have that problem and ate them without issue.
I guess they will all go very quickly to employees family and friends.......gosh when did I become this cynical? I used to love them but after drastically cutting the amount of sugar I eat the thought of eating one makes me feel sick!
No don't like them anymore, used to love them as a kid thou, not sure whether it's my taste that has changed or the recipe .
Love Creme eggs - was the school creme egg eating champion! I also have hardly any of my own teeth left and am diabetic, but thats probably coincidence! Have had to cut back on them - but still managed to sneak some into my shopping thats due tomorow
Yes now I’ve discovered the white chocolate ones. Caramel eggs are still my favourites though
I’ve never been a lover of Cadbury’s Cream Eggs, I do not accept when offered. For me they are just too sweet.
I remember not being too keen on them as a kid as I thought they were too sweet, had one recently, not sure if it's because they are smaller or a change in the recipe, but it was a lot nicer than I remember.
