Does Anyone Know How to Get Paint Out?
Ask a Question
My little one has been in nursery today and she's got green paint all over her lovely pink jumper anyone know how I can get it out? I've used vanish but no luck
Some school paints are hard to shift, had to throw a couple of white shirts away, couldn't get paint off the cuffs at all , used vanish, no use, elbow grease no good either
martinlufc5637 ohhh no I'm not happy about it I thought they would have had the paint coats if I known this I would have put something old on her it's the first time they have done painting too
Leannexxx you could try white spirit (turps) if you old fashioned lol leave it soak in for a few hours and wash on a hot wash
martinlufc5637 I've tried hand sanitizer and hairspray because Google said so still no look
My son has a few tops covered in paint. Nothing shifts it, just dulls it down. He wesrs the aprons but still gets covered in it.
I had this today, I did try the usual cold water and a bit of fairy washing up liquid rubbed on it before I threw it in the wash but it’s still there. So annoying as it’s meant to be washable… if you find a way let me know x
It depends on the paint.
It should be poster paint which is water based at nursery, but if it was Acrylic then not much chance.
We used to have to take our own apron in primary school. I used to wear one of my dad's shirts backwards, that way the whole of my outfit and arms were covered and not just the front of me like many aprons. It might be worth discussing it with the nursery to save this happening to others. Although they will likely say that you should be sending them in clothes you don't mind get ruined and messy play is part of their schedule.
Lynsey Queen of Clean might know more than me but Isopropyl alcohol should help break down the paint on a lot of surfaces.
