Does Anyone Use Ear Plugs to Help Them Sleep?

Other

Does anyone use ear plugs to help them sleep? If so Where do you get yours from.

I'm a light sleeper and since the lockdown has started I've not had a proper full night sleep. The most I've had is 5 hours. Today I only managed to sleep for 2 hours and I'm exhausted. I have really loud neighbours who listen to loud music day and night.

Was thinking if ear plugs might help do they actually cancel out background noise.

I have found they hurt my ears if I sleep with them in. Is the noise from the windows or walls/ceilings? If the sound is ongoing you can report this too.

The noise comes from the walls. I don't want to report it as they are quite rough, and don't want to make the situation worse.

I have to use them or I can't sleep due to any light noise waking me and living with someone that snores like a jackhammer

I buy cheap chinese foam ones due to limited money. I found the hard ones really uncomfortable to wear and much prefer the foam ones. You can get many different ones on Amazon too that might be a bit better quality

I use them on holiday or in hotels.i usually just use one in the ear not next to the pillow.but two would block out more i would think? I get them from boots.

Most people use them to stay awake when I'm talking.

Some airlines give them out to passengers for free, so I have a collection that I use now and again. It muffles higher pitched tones, but any boring noises can still be heard

That rules out Dennab talking then.😅😉

I wear them almost every night. I find these ones the best, as they fit snugly in your ear. Hope this helps. x

SalmaS Your welcomed, they are great. You can still hear your alarm with them, so you won't sleep in lol ( no excuses) 😆

I use ear plugs, both firmer foam ones and silicone ear plugs. (The silicone cuts out more of the noise). I also have the incessant Kango snoring problem to listen to... 🐞 Image

I work permanent nights and find the silicone ear plugs the best. Seem to be able to block out majority of noises with them. Don’t think I would go back to using foam plugs again now. I got mine off amazon, £6.99 for 3 box’s of 7 pairs

I do sometimes. I use Howard Leight Brand. They don‘t block noise out completely. But I prefer that because I can then hear if the dog barks ect. But they’re good & do block quite a bit.
