Happy Easter to all the chatterboxes! . I am going to a community charity quiz tonight and going to a small family gathering on Monday. Hope the weather improves, so sick of this wet stuff. Oh and don’t forget to put your clocks forward. At least it will be lighter for longer.
I'm a commited Catholic so celebrate the triduum: I attend three services on Maundy Thursday,Good Friday and Easter Vigil .I play guitar and sing in the choir. It was my birthday yesterday as well so I went out .Sunday if it's not raining I'll be eating eggs and enjoying a nice lamb dinner. Happy Holy Easter everyone.
MelissaLee1 Oh wow. Hope you enjoy your music . Happy Birthday for yesterday. Have a lovely Easter Sunday. xx
MelissaLee1 , Catholic too but not staunch, go to Mass when I have time. rest of time pray at home.
Hope you had a lovely birthday...x
We would normally go away Easter weekend but not this year, cost is one thing and my daughter is poorly
martinlufc5637 Ah that’s a shame. Yes everything is more expensive now. Sorry your daughter is poorly, hope she feels better soon!
Maybe will go for a nice walk over dovedale if the weather is not too bad. Seems so changeable at the moment though
No, we haven’t done for years. It is treated like any other weekend. The unfortunate part is that we can’t go away as they put the prices up.
eyeballkerry Yes everything is expensive now. Hope you enjoy the time to yourself anyway.
JLouM I go away quite a bit but always avoid the school holidays. Hoping to go on the 15th April and the one after is booked for the 30th May.
My mother in law will be visiting. We will be going to soft play when she is here and having a birthday party for her in the house. Will go visit my parents too, but they are only 30 mins down the road.
Aimal...Me too, only time I'm free is Saturday evening when I get home & my partner, daughter & I are going for a pub meal nothing fancy but it means none of us have to cook..
On Sunday partner is doing Roast Pork Dinner & bring one down the road to me as I'm on shift til Monday morning..
We are going to take our son to a community centre that has an activity event on Monday, cost £2.00 per child and adult to get in
Jerseydrew Ooh sounds lovely! Haven’t been to France for years. Love the food. Brie on French stick and lots of coffee and croissants .
JLouM I love France. Been to super u and sat in carrefour. French shops dint stress me out. Hate British shops. They stress me out
Jerseydrew How are the shops different? I hate shopping here too. I have only been to French supermarket once and that was years and years ago.
JLouM nicer more spaced out. Not as busy. The smaller express versions aren't that big but still seems to be calmer
Spent the first half In Geneva, from yesterday onwards it's all about relaxing with family
