I found £20 on the pavement today and immediately gave it to a charity collector. Don’t even know what they were collecting for 😂 Didn’t want to have second thoughts so did it as fast as possible

It was my beer fund. Thanks am off to.the pub for a few.

Old clothing and toys always go.to charity shop for me. No point just throwing them away when someone can benefit from them

I used to donate all my clothes to charity every 6-8 months but now I tend to sell my clothes on Depop. I need the money and I firmly believe, charity starts at home. I tend to give a lot of change to homeless people now instead because I like to see who my money is going to and who its helping.

My mum regularly made us do a toy and clothing clear out and take it to the charity shop. Last time I got rid of clothes I took them to the clothing bank at the local recycling centre, alongside shoes and cuddly toys. The charities then come and collect the items. I haven't taken anything to the charity shop in years

I try and donate to charity shops as much as possible, id rather donate/pass on than throw in the bin. I always say someone else's trash can be someone else's treasure

I do whenever I can (mainly clothing). I am also currently volunteering at a charity shop.

Yes we do. I can’t be bothered with advertising items on eBay and the like. I prefer to give decent things to charity shops to make a little cash. When my father in law died and we had to clear out his property there was a newish microwave and washing machine, charity shops wouldn’t collect so they were free cycled.

Yes, I do donate to charity shops, in fact this week I found out they no longer accept CDs.

It's normally household goods, books, clothes which are in very good condition. I give other clothing, which are not nearly new to the charity collection points in super market car parks

Yes I donate to the Cats Protection League shop in Street as its close to the car park so not far to walk with the bags of crap or should I say quality merchandise. Typically it would be clothes, oddments, dvds, books, magazines etc. Just building up another bag of crap at the moment. They probably use about 40% of what I give and the rest probably goes in the bin. I do give away some decent bits and pieces though that I can't be bothered to sell amongst the stuff.

I usually donate clothes that I have out grown. I keep them for a while convincing myself I will get back into them.

I donate all my clothes I no longer use and any other items I’m getting rid or replacing. Some have labels on them and it’s always the Salvation Army I donate too as they use all items you donate. Either reselling, giving to unfortunate people or recycle the material.

Yes I do but we don't often have things worth taking. We keep wearing clothes until they fall apart, wearing them for gardening etc. I have taken some more formal clothing that we will probably not wear again. Our local shops are fussy about what they'll take now too.

I do sometimes if I can't pass them on to someone or sell it but I feel many are just businesses now so I don't donate nearly as much as I use to.

I find some of the charity shop staff are too fussy eg asking me the brand names if any or accept a donation without any acknowledgement.
