the last 3 years ive told friends and family im not buying christmas cards im donating the money to our local hospice . i know its not alot but i donate 10 quid cards go in bin . helping people with cancer is far better x
we do the same in my work. All donate money instead of writing cards that no one is overly bothered about 
Donating is always good, at least you know your money will actually help people if you give to the right charity.
I disagree. My nan really looks forward to receiving Christmas cards and it gives her a jolt to remember family and friends afar. The cost of post is a factor but I think we should send actual cards to our older acquaintances and maybe charity for the younger ones.
