Don't You Just Hate Cookies?

Other

They always pop up just as I am filling in an entry or other form.

When you try to choose it is very hard to tell whether you have turned them on or off. The colours vary on every one, you don't know which colour is on or off.

When you slide to left or right, which is off or on.

And if you reject all are they going to accept your comp entry.

I give up.

Yes it's very annoying, especially those you have no choice to except to view their site, then you are bombarded with ads 🤬

martinlufc5637 exactly and I am always unsure whether or not they accept your comp entry if you (rarely) have the chance to refuse cookies.

Yes they are annoying but as you say might limit your use if you refuse them. Every so often though I go in settings to clear my web data and cookies but then you have to sign in from scratch all your passwords again. It’s a pain in the a***. GDPR should have some general consent site or something rather than having to do for every individual site. They

must know it’s frustrating for the user.

JLouM I really never knew that, I must go into settings and have a play around. However, I do like having all my passwords pop up immediately after clicking log in.

Lynibis Yes that’s the downside to doing it though. Just as frustrating really and it doesn’t stop asking for cookies when you next log in but at least they can’t hang on to everything about you indefinitely.

When I saw this title, I immediately thought of the cookies you eat and couldn’t understand how anyone could hate them.

I use Brave (it's like Chrome, but full of add-ons such as adblockers, cookie hider, and the likes) and that never appears, however, on Chrome it does because I only use Chrome when I make a purchase via Topcashback.

It needs to track so cookies need to be accepted otherwise it possibly won't show up.

Haha you certainly did catch the eye with this heading, all I can say is what's not to like about a good cookie 🤣. On the other hand I know what your sayng and agree.

I use an adblocker anyway so I guess they know my web movements because of the cookies and then when they try to show me a advert focused on my interests I don't see it anyway because its blocked. I like cookies for banking sites etc where I don't have to keep doing the security checks.

BonzoBanana this chat topic has shown me I know nothing at all about cookies or what they do. PhilipMarc and yourself may well have been writing in a foreign language, I need to educate myself! 😊
