Easter Eggs ?

Other

It Is New Years Day and still Christmas and already some corporate giant Is selling Easter Eggs. How sad Is that ? Talk about greed. When I use to work for a Supermarket Chain In the Warehouse side of things, big shippers of Easter Eggs use to roll off the wagons way before Christmas and stored on the racking. Years ago you wouldnt see an Egg before the time Is right, the same as Christmas. Nowadays Its all about greed. Bring back those days where Sundays everything was closed. The same as Wednesday afternoons where It was half day.

I know. It’s much too early for Easter when we have just had Christmas. Jesus birth, Jesus death. What happened to the middle? Anyway it’s Valentine’s Day first and even that is not until February. Easter is end of March, beginning of April. March is the right time for Easter eggs.

JLouM They dont care about the middle part. just greed to see what they can get out of us as usual. Valentines stuff will be out In a matter of days I think.

MelissaLee1 I buy Christmas Puddings now for next Christmas as they mature better. Nothing wrong with that plus they are cheaper.

I really like Easter confectionery and purchased some items a few days ago. Consequently, I don't have an issue with them being available this early. There must be consumer demand otherwise stores wouldn't put them on their shelves yet. Easter Day is also a bit earlier this year (31st March). As with any other product, customers can choose not to purchase Easter Eggs if they don't want them.

As for Sundays, I would hate it if shops closed on that day. Again, there must be a demand for Sunday shopping. Otherwise stores wouldn't open on that day.

It is a shame but times have changed. Especially with shops shutting. I could not believe the amount of shops open yesterday. I am sure half the staff had hang overs. They should have been shut.

I think if people buy them, they will put them out early. They wouldn't put them out if they didn't sell any, as it would be a waste of shelve space. I myself think it's all a money making scheme and the reason for the holidays has been lost

This has been happening for quite a few years now, still too early though.

Everything is commercial-led. And most folk are happy to be led by advertisements that sell the sorry tale.
