Eating Out

How often do you eat out? Where do you normally go? We are out at the moment but rarely eat out.

Last time was last week down the road at Hungry Horse. I’d had a hard week at work and husband was home all day and needed to get out the house. This is very rare though.

We don't eat out often. We occasionally take our son to McDonald's. When my mother in law is visiting we will go out for dinner, usually to a local restaurant.

We only tend to eat out when we are on holiday. We used to go out to celebrate birthdays but usually the birthday is away on holiday these days.

I probably eat out once every 10 days, as its more than every fortnight but not weekly. However its nothing fancy at all. Most common meal in recent weeks is the Hungry Horse 2 full english breakfasts for £4.90 and used gift cards to pay which were reduced price anyway. Likely bought when topcashback were doing their £2 cashback for £5 or more purchases. The other day I went to 3 places all in the same day, started with Hungry Horse, then went to Taunton where I walked in from the park and ride and had multiple hot drinks at wetherspoons (but no actual meal) and then later that day had a pizza at Pizza Express using giftcards. That is the first and only time I've visited 3 places to eat in the same day.

I mean really 95% of my eat out places are Hungry Horse and Wetherspoons.

BonzoBanana You know how to get your money's worth. I have learnt a lot about taking my time and comparing things before making purchases through you.

I agree with ChelsieLou90 and Jerseydrew.

I don't usually eat out much, if I do it's usually a treat and it will be McDonald's or KFC.

We only eat out on holiday these days. When people ask about local places I literally have no idea as I don't use them anymore. I'd rather save our money and it go towards our holidays. It's expensive to get away and expensive to eat out where I am. We don't have weatherspoons or hungry horse or Toby carvery where I am sadly. Would love a Toby carvery where I am. We've pizza express but last time we went it was £100 for 3 of us. Yes I had 2 glasses of wine.

Last time the family ate out was a carvery for Easter and it was a lovely day, usually just for birthdays and ocassions otherwise we prefer a weekly takeaway from the Chinese or chip shop.

In England I rarely eat out unless it's at a cafe but in Italy I love Walter's Pizzaria and most of the Ice Cream Parlours. The best gelato though was in Venice, their coconut gelato is seriously addictive.

We haven't eaten out in years as my partner doesn't like eating in front of people so it's always a take away and that is very rare now

I was out on Sat night with the family & will be out Thursday evening with friends. I don't go out half as much as I did pre covid. Not only the price increases but alot of our fav haunts have since closed/changed owners etc. I probably go out 3 or 4 times a month.

Very rarely go out to places for food unless on holiday, normally just get a takeaway if we’re gonna grab food

Quite a bit, at least a couple of times per week, usually because I’m already out and no point going home just to eat

Meals out are treats so I’ll pick something that I can’t cook but I do begrudge paying £20 for a glass of wine.

We don't eat out often but will call in for something to eat on the way back from medical appointments as I am so tired afterwards that it is easier for us
